As many are already aware the Stimulus Package of 2009 (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) contains information pertinent to you as a dealer selling energy efficient windows and doors!

The following 3 points recap the section that addresses the need for energy saving products:

• A. A 2009 and 2010 tax rebate for energy efficient windows and doors
  that have a U-factor of 0.30 or below and a SHGC 0.30 or below.

• B. Total credit available is equal to 30% with a maximum aggregate
  amount of $1,500.

Many of your competitors are angered by the announcement of such strict performance requirements for this tax rebate qualification. According to results published by NFRC, the products that have both the U-factor and SHGC at 0.30 or below greatly limits the products that will qualify!
